Purpose of the Center –
The major focus of the center is to provide professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals based upon their assessed perceptions of the needed assistance that will help them meet the educational needs of their students. To accomplish this, the center provides an environment in which both groups will grow professionally and intellectually through formal and informal interaction with peers, structured education experiences, workshops, seminars, conferences, and small group and large group activities. The center is designed to provide professional and educational growth opportunities outside of the regular school day hours throughout the school year. Workshops designed to meet assessed needs expressed by teachers and paraprofessionals are offered at least once each month.
