NABSEF Scholarships Now Available for High School Seniors

 

The National Alliance of Black School Educators Foundation has announced their scholarship graduating high school seniors entering postsecondary institutions in the Fall of 2019.
Winners will be selected on the basis of the submitted required documents. To be considered, an applicant must submit the following requirements by close of business 5:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018:

 Completed Scholarship Application with all components.
 Is a high school senior maintaining a 3.0 GPA or better – copy of high school transcript (official or unofficial)
 Has completed at least 20 community service hours – Verification of Community Service Hours – Represented by a letter from the organization highlighting the hours and community service project(s) completed. Official letterhead must be used from the company or organization.
 Submit two (2) letters of recommendation. One recommendation letter must be from a teacher or counselor in a sealed envelope.
 Please submit a typed statement, 350 -500 words, telling how you have been engaged in supporting your community through community service during your high school career.
 Submit a picture (head shot).

SELECTION PROCESS:
All applications and accompanying documentation must be received by NABSE FOUNDATION Scholarship Committee by the close of business 5:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018.
Scholarship recipients will be announced at the 46TH Annual Conference of the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) November 7-11, 2018 in Baltimore, MD.

Winners will be notified of the exact date and time they will be presented at the National Conference.
