On May 14, 2019, the Baltimore City School Board passed Policy IKA and Administrative Regulation IKA-RA on grading and reporting. Educators from across the district were asked to solicit feedback on the draft policies in March. Their questions, comments, and concerns, many of which were not incorporated into the final policy and regulation can be found here.
City Schools sent out the following guidance on what assessments should count for grades and which should not. Principals should have sent out to staff a school specific grading policy that aligns with Policy IKA, Regulation IKA-RA, and the district guidance.
